Audiodax "The Annexation"

This new mixtape from Audiodax (an upcoming group featuring Krypton Flo and Temble) took me completely by surprise. I knew that they could make some amazing music (as evidenced by their first two singles "Matter of Time", and "All the Koalas"), but I honestly thought that the rest of the songs on this mixtape would just be filler for the first two singles. But, almost every song on this mixtape is dank.
First-- you have the two covers. "Gravity" is a unique, pop-minded take on the Modest Mouse song, "Gravity Rides Everything" and it completely reinvents the song with Temble's smooth vocals and Krypton's reasoning flow. Then, their cover of Vampire Weekend's "Horchata" is equally as impressive--it is one of my favorite Vampire Weekend songs and it sounds damn good with Flo added in.
My personal favorite is "Uh-Oh" with Constant L. Burts. This song has an unbeleivable beat that could set any dance party off the chain. The quick give and take between Constant and Flo definitely doesn't hurt either. Then, "Right Way" and "Pretty Girl" are two of the catchiest songs ever.
I might be biased about these guys because they are both friends and fraternity brothers, but I honestly believe they have something real special in this mixtape.
