I've been a fan of Tokyo Police Club ever since I heard their 2006 EP "A Lesson In Crime." The EP is filled with a fledgling post-punk band's vibrant and sometimes even forceful creative energy. Unfortunately, their 2008 album "Elephant Shell," was a disappointment with overly emo songs without the energy.The good news is that TPC has not lost it all. There are parts of the album (especially the beginning) that bring back the quality of music that got me into them way back in 2006. However, the album isn't perfect and there some weak spots where the album loses focus with mediocre tunes. Buy the album here and check out the TPC highlights below:
